To Determine Coefficient of Restitution of a Bouncing Balling Text Here

Coefficient of Restitution Experiment

Instructions

This simulation demonstrates how to determine the coefficient of restitution (COR) for different ball materials.

  1. Select a ball material from the dropdown
  2. Adjust the drop height using the slider (1-5 meters)
  3. Click "Drop Ball" to start the simulation
  4. The ball will bounce and the COR will be calculated
  5. Results will be displayed in the table below

Coefficient of Restitution (e) is calculated as: e = √(h'/h), where h is the initial height and h' is the bounce height.
